ChipDiscoDJ, The rescue to our MOD files for the later technology!
Ahh, the time has come where I have remembered to FINALLY release this compiling of awesome work. You see coding all starts with an idea. and what better idea than the .MOD's today sound WAY the hell better than he shit digital quality we have floating around or even the analog... that's up for debate. All I know is I can take my laptop to the club and play some old school chip tunes all thanks to Syphus and the boys and not only that... but for all the MAC users of Renoise out there there's a MAC user by the name of King Syphus too that codes awesome plugin's for both MAC and Windows from notoriously getting pissed off at the lack of support for VST's, VSTi's, AU's w/e's... For Linux also there seems to be a lack but not as much I would say (and I say that because it's Linux and you dont haveto shell out 15000 a plugin) so yes they ARE available but at a VERY pricy rate lol..
Check out his site for some more amazing stuff, for instance if your a MAC user be aware that there are free VST's for you on the site to use, BIG UPS!' For instance we have THE TUNEALISER, Some crazy sound related game MINERTRON, some NICELY made freeware THE VIRUSCTRLR! A high quality MOD/XM/S3M Replayer Library for Processingif you can believe it THE PORTAMOD!!!!! And last but not least as little fun i've had myself with this little guy, a nice freeware that goes with Reactor5 the one and the only Low Quality FastTracker/Protracker-style Chipsynth in Reaktor5 THE CHIPSLAPPER!!!!! It's actully pretty fun for those who are going for tht 8 bit sound. I hear it used alot in pop music of today which I have my differences about never the less he made it for ALL the right reasons THANKS SO MUCH Syphus and keep that passion strong. We NEED people with ideas like you on the Renoise scene.
While we're talking about the awesomeness that is technology I think we should bring up Winnipeg accomplishments. Look at the Winnitron 1000 for instance. Traveling around the world for entrenches into competitions. And last but not least we forget Skullspace, Winnipeg ONLY hackerspace (Wiki here or Blog here, Something to feed you all some infos ;). It's really neat too because we have this really cool place in conjunction with another really cool place called Assentworks. If you haven’t heard of it this is an AWESOME video that really brings it out what it will do for Winnipeg and really the world I seen this REALLY bad ass video on the net about it when Google+ just started and the concept behind it is similar to Skullspace in that it's providing an outlet from a business aspect (with a membership fee of course) and you have access to the machinery they have and not only are they thinking on the short term making a little doll (for example) and that's it? no it's full scale production! Check it out here ( HTTP://www.slideshare.net/secret/5JfnlF9xVgjTAJ ). The idea from what I gathered was to launch one into production helping them through the copyright process and in turn it's building successful people who would have the smarts but not the means with no accessibility normally turning them into a functioning member of society, with their product in market stable with their OWN equipment. Isn't this what Manitoba needs? If I know one thing it's that Manitoba has a PILE of artists that have succeeded and major ball players in fields such as pediatric Pulmonology to substantial energy developments. Although Skullspace really is for us hackers to get together and network. What good is that you ask? Well I have an idea that I want to launch to market myself. If I never had this I wouldn’t have access to individuals that may want to participate in my project or at least get me on the road to success. These places are located on the 3rd floor of 125 Adelaide St in Winnipeg, MB With the Postal Code being R3A 0W4 but if you need any infos the guys are ALWAYS around to answer ANYTHING you have to ask and even sell ya a nifty shirt or two ;) (There awesome shirts). There is a Hackathon every month usually the 3rd one of every month with us meeting every Tuesday at 6 pm sharp to discuss stuff. It's DIRECTLY across the street from the Red River Community College Downtown by the public safety building (actually our back door out of the warehouse faces the police bank however the entrance is around the corner from there which you’ll see an art store called "Cre'8'tive". I'm honestly rather impressed with how well the guys got stuff together. I use to be a part of a space a while back and it wasn’t as functional as ours. There's ALOT to use and do and when you get tired from your project you can play some Mario or something in the chill/rest area. Unfortunately $40.00 (which HONESTLY isn’t that much to pay in a position of the costs associated with the space.) just isn't to affordable for a single dad like me at the moment. In fact to be fair all money is distributed as said so by the committee which is yourself once you pay your dues. Funny story was just as I was going to pay 3 months (you get a free t-shire when you do) the dentist informed me my benefits hadn't kicked in yet but they were, out of good warmheartedness (yeah RIGHT! LOL!) cover $600.00 and apply it later so the 3 month I would have had went to the little girl. And you know what even though I had to call it and cancel at the last moment and as embarrassing as that was I feel proud that i'm not one of those good for nothing dads out there... We'll as you can tell I’m on a little bit of a dark spell at the moment, My apologies for the rant and I hope I opened your eyes to some new and interesting technologies around Winnipeg. We have a Game developing company called 'Infinite Ammo' which make some pretty rad games one of which are available FOR FREE (yes, all of the games on the Winnitron: Indi Arcade Network (click on that link) are free,free, free, FREE!!!! You just have to scroll on up to 'Media' and download away. Also If your from out of town The Winnitron encourages building the Mame cabinet and once that’s done and painted and ready for the gear they WILL ship you the internal copy written operating system program inside with the show of pictures =) PRETTY COOL!
One more thing before we part we will most certainly be throwing another chiptune show in Winnipeg VERY shortly with special guests hopefully coming in to play live game boy sets. Right off the hop I know I will be doing a live PA act with my 2 Gameboy DS's and a synthesizer, Korg Kontrol49 and a couple of samplers... well a Dr. Sample and a Electribe ESX-1... Usually at these events Team 20xx usually puts on the visuals, games such as the winnitron 1000 and who knows if you were at Re:Play maybe we can convince the goes down at Skullspace to let us use the pinball LCD Screen with over 350 games on it for the evening.. muahahahhaahaha!! And on that note Skot I hope your school work is paying off for ya bud, and I KNOW you KNOW we cant leave chiptunes alone... such a GREAT TIME!
This upcoming month will be structured on synthesis or on the different styes of. So day per day what I will do is talk a little about a form, what it is and give you a taste. Now obviously there is going to be a bit of everything in the track but I will try to choose the tracks to give all you out there who may not know so much an idea =). The following month after will be an introduction to music production for those of you that listen and tune in and the following month ill even get a bit deeper. So while you can check out www.renoise.com and also with the implementation of Renoise 2.5.0 we gave a big ol' nerd upgrade which you can now code 3rd party tools in LUA for renoise (aside from the OSC and limitless other things you can do this is amazing) anyway you can check out tools.renoise.com to get an idea of the stuff we come up with. SO KEEP THOSE DIALS LOCKED FOR NEXT WEDNESDAY 95.9FM OR WWW.CKUW.CA and feel free to visit the blog here @ printedcircuit.blogspot.com more often and also check out and join our @Printed_circuit and Facebook

Suva Explaining How, Why and Incorperation From a Band into Renoise! EXCITING SHIT!!
An AMAZING video detailing the most questionable methods... how do I integrate Renoise into my band? Suva has done it rather easily.. to show you an example here it is... in video format, very well done I must add, and the HEART as to why Renoise is the BEST DAW imho. I LOVE YOU RENOISE.
Here's the band:
::.........................::
Birgit
--..::::..--
The singer and the songwriter of the project. It is her who delivers the dark tales of future worlds, frozen wastelands and steampunk robots to the listener with her voice that can break the walls.Birgit
--..::::..--
She has played the violin and sung in several projects before including punk and metal bands.
::.........................::
Juho
--..::::..--
The guitarist of the band bringing you the heavy riffs, rhythmic melodies and crazy licks on his trusty six stringed friend.
He has strong roots in the rock music which gives a great colour and distinctive taste to the otherwise heavily electronic music of Error: Success
::.........................::
Cly/Suva
--..::::..--
The DJ and the producer of the band. The one who makes the booming drums, ripping synths and throbbing basslines. He also makes it all mix together on the stage with his massive arsenal of midi controllers and other hardware.
Suva has over ten years of experience producing styles ranging from Metal, Dark Ambient to Electro and is active in several projects.
More info can be found at their BEAUTIFUL site (who ever designed it is awe inspiring!) Error:Success off of the label Remixta, to be found here. Remember we will be bringing you more awe inspiring artists as Renoise has them... all! check it all http://www.renoise.com/artists... Impressive isn't it?

November 16th 2011.
I start off the evening getting off work... FINALLY! Because what I had planned a little earlier for you listners out there I was a little excited about. An individual whom uses the same DAW (or digital audio workstation) goes by the name of Suva.
Suva has a really interesting approach to Renoise in general. I mean there are ALOT of bands out there including Black Metal bands that use trackers for certain parts but Error-Success is a slice of it's own, and do I ever know my industrial. Dont believe me? Just Check out a little Demo [EP] for the hell of it. But the true romance I wanted my listners to check out other than there really well put together website but also this video here which im going to make sure its here for ANYONE to see ANYTIME... Enjoy!
The other half of the show went well. My intro for the show I can say is ALOMOST DONE FINALLY and i;m really pushing on myself to release. This radio show is really a passion of mine and to be honest I really wish I could actully know how many people know and listen to my show regularly. In any event I get to work with some AWEOSME artists and hand out my releases to some awesome labels so money or not I want to gain aas much experience as I can to be an audio engenieer or an electrical engenieer.
The kings head pub wasnt the best of turnouts. All I haveto say is sorry homie...
Peace,
d0p3f15h

Wednesday November the 2nd -and- Saturday November the 5th
Two Dates? Yup That's right! This past Saturday was infact the hackerspace of wWinnipeg also known as Skullspace's "GRAND OPENING" in which there was a cover at the door of the hackerspace but that ticket got you a free drink at the Kings Head Pub.
To start off the show this past Wednesday I went with more of a somber mood. Yep, the great sounds of granular synthesis streaming through the FM airwaves to the ears of every listener and on this special occasion my 2 year old son was at his baba's for an over nighter! Very rarely do I get to have my favorable. person in the world there by my side but she added an extra punch for the weather and announcements of time and temp! Way to go Erica! w007!
Due to the lack of motivation Printed Circuit will be continuing on as myself with no co-host. The excuses range however I could NEVER foresee myself having to quit for any reason for the radio show. Ever. I just wanted to make that clear. I do hope one day there will be someone passionate enough to have the will to be a co-host.
This next week we have a mixed show planned. I held a real small Renoise competition in which I made a small sample pack and hit up the Renoise IRC on #espernet and it came through. 3 songs including mine with some impressive stuff. Those will be played along with some entries from soem Canadian Renosie artists aswell as some European artists, including a BuzzTracker user! Good ol' Buzztracker. The tracker I started with and still make from time to time music in.
For the Skullspace after party everything went smoothly except for a bit of confusion with my equiptment and the mixer which we later figured out, my beer being killed in the process. A BIG thanks to Ron for the replacement. I rarely drink but on this eve I definitely felt like a beer for all the work I did. As well as a BIG thank you to messmer for coming out and an apology for the mix up in time sets. So there we have it.. An update to follow.
